Greg Secker was born on February 18th, 1975 in Norfolk England. He grew up from humble backgrounds. Mr. Secker studied Agricultural and Food Science at the University of Nottingham. Greg started his career at Thomas Cook Financial Services as a trading technologist where he developed trading systems for foreign exchange markets. He created a new trading system business called Virtual Trading Desk which later won him the British Telecom Award for innovations in e-commerce in 1998.
At the age of 25, Secker became the Vice President of Mellon Financial Corporation which is a large investment bank in the United States. He was the head of e-Strategy Foreign Exchange and Capital Markets in the company. He started the Learn to Trade in three months which is the global leader in trading education. The company has educated over 200,000 people in how to trade through seminars and workshops.
In 2003, he retired from the Mellon Company at the age of 27 to fully engage in the Forex trade and set up. Secker started mentoring people in his home and found the Knowledge to Action group which is a combination of companies such as; The Greg Secker Foundation, Capital Index, Learn to Trade, Smart Chart Software.
In 2008, the Knowledge to Action group hosted financial trading seminars internationally in countries such as; Ghana and Australia. From a recent interview, Secker gave reasons for starting the business. One of them was that he noted people struggle to begin trade with ease as they lack the necessary education.
Greg Secker also stated that he started making his own money at the age of 27 at home in the Forex market. Secker said that as an individual he was able to make a decent profit in three to six months. He stated that the most satisfying moment in his life was when the idea of the Knowledge to Action group came to his mind.
Secker is a philanthropist as he started the Greg Foundation which is a non-profitable organization set to help raise the living standards of people and works with youth programs to improve education, leadership and life skills in communities.
